Crathern Machinery Group, Inc. is pleased to announce another "performance improvement kit" for the FB-1 and FB-3A Spotters.
The motorized Spotter pile lift kit employs an AC inverter drive system that is activated by a sensing unit located directly at the point of pick-up above the product tray. This drive system automatically adapts to the material thickness, thus eliminating the mechanical "one tooth at a time" ratchet drive and the possibility of a missed board at the point of pick-up.
Additional areas of improved machine performance include the following:
1. Eliminates the need for different style lift gears due to the varying material thickness.
2. Increases pile lift weight capacity.
3. Makes the operation of the pile lift "ergonomically satisfying" by eliminating the physically demanding hand crank method of operation.
4. The product tray can run in both up and down directions by flipping a switch instead of having to unload the tray in case of a board jam.
